In radiotherapy applications, the usual X-ray energy range used is 90-300kV.50-150kv is referred to as superficial X-ray, more than 90% of the damage caused by the incident dose is concentrated in the depth of 5mm below the surface, usually used for the treatment of subcutaneous tumors;While 200-500kv is called medium voltage X-ray, more than 90% of the dose is concentrated in the depth of 2cm below the surface, which is usually used for the treatment of deep tumors.
For PXi biological X-ray irradiator, 160kV model is suitable for the light exposure of cells, bacteria and mice, and 225kV model is suitable for the light exposure of cells, bacteria and tissues and organs, and can also be used for the irradiation of mice and rats.
Besides small animal irradiation, it can also be used for:
